Allen named Thomas Co. B&GC director | News

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - The Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Georgia is under new leadership.

Arthur Allen is now chief professional officer of the Marguerite Neel Williams Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Georgia.

He'll lead the organization in Thomas and Grady counties after heading up a Boys & Girls Club in Birmingham, Alabama for the last seven years. 

"He in fact has spent his younger years in Boys and Girls Clubs so he grew up in this environment and he recognizes the importance of it and what it can mean to so many children," said Chief Volunteer Officer Gary Pitts.

Allen succeeds Lee Wagner, who was named chief executive for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia in Macon.
