THOMAS COUNTY, GA - News release from Thomas University

The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who agree to teach for four years at an elementary school, secondary school or educational service agency that serves students from low-income families.

Thomas University participates in the TEACH Grant Program. The grant is available to undergraduate and graduate students who score above the 75th percentile on one or more portions of a college admissions test (SAT or ACT) or maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25.

The TEACH Grant Program prepares students to teach in high-need fields.  At Thomas University those high-need fields include middle grades science, middle grades mathematics and secondary mathematics.

In return for the grant, students agree to teach in a school that serves students from low-income families.
