Members of the senior class of social work students at Thomas University held Team K.E.D.A. (Keep Educating on Disability Awareness) on April 14 at Darton College in Albany to raise money for Easter Seals.
The event was named for Kiera “Keda” Atkins, the daughter of TU student Dione Atkins. Team K.E.D.A. included a walk, a resource fair and games for the family.
The event raised more than $3,100. Participating in the check presentation on April 24 at Thomas University are (from left) Sandy Yates, TU Director of Development; Fran Everett, student; Denisha Bell, student; Katrina Jones, student; Beth English, Executive Director of Easter Seals Southern Georgia, Inc.; Dione Atkins, student; Laura Humphries, student; Gloria King, student; Lovetta Brown, student; and Bill Milford, Division Chair, Social Work.
Also participating was TU student Mary Coston (not pictured).
